Come Get Serenated Over High Tea

MAKE time this June 5 and get mesmerised with the enchanting melodies belted out by the SMK Seafield Chor Club over high-tea.
The musical charity event is organised to help raise funds to send the choir group to compete at the 5th Bali International Choral Festival (BICF) from 25 - 29 July 2016. Funds raised will also go towards the upkeep of the choir group and its facilities apart from channeling aid to help poor and needy students of the school.
The fundraising high-tea will be held on June 5 from 11am to 3pm at One City Ballroom. Tickets are priced at RM120 per person or RM1,200 for a table of 10.
The SMK Seafield Choir Club was established in 1997. This choir consists of young students aged between 13 and 17 years from various races. Throughout the years, SMK Seafield Choir has participated and excelled in many competitions as well as performed at various charitable events organised by the government and non-government organisations (NGOs) at the district, state, national and international level. Many private sector organisations have invited the choir as well for performances at their events.
In addition to vocal performances, SMK Seafield Choir Club has performed at four musical dramas. 'Grease' was the first musical presented in 2006; followed by the 2nd musical, 'mamma Mia' in 2007, 'Footloose' in 2009 and the fourth 'West Side Story ‘in 2011.
SMK Seafield Choir Club has played host and participated in exchange programmes from Singapore, South Africa, Germany, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and Switzerland.
The choir group has also performed in Heidelberg and Berlin, Germany in 2012; Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand in 2013; and Brisbane, Australia in March 2014

In 2014, SMK Seafield Choir was crowned as the National Champion, in the 'Shah Alam Shines Choir- National Edition Competition 2014' on 25 May 2014 defeating 15 other secondary school choirs from various states in Malaysia.
Since 2004, the Seafield Choir has won a string of competitions at district and state levels. These include being Champion for the Petaling Perdana Schools District for third year running from 2012 to 2014 with the Best Conductor Award 2014 for Gayatri Kandiah being the icing on the cake for the team along with the Championship Trophy.
This year, The Seafield Choir once again will be competing in two International Level Competitions. In July, they will perform at the Malaysia International Choral Festival (MICF), from 22 - 24 July 2016, to be held in Putrajaya.
The Seafield Choir will be participating in the 5th Bali International Choral Festival (BICF) from 25 - 29 July 2016. BICF is organised by Bandung Choral Society, founded by Tommyanto Kandisaputra in 2000. This prestigious event will once again feature world class choir teams in the international scene.
