SUBANG JAYA: AN Indian national is in hot soup after attempting to murder his lover's husband in what appears to be a love triangle turned sour in Bukit Puchong.

The suspect together with a Sri Lankan national who are both in their 20s have been arrested by the police for attacking the victim, leaving him with at least 30 stitches from the attack, according to Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari.

"The 37-year-old victim is in hospital after surviving the attack by the two men who jumped him with a parang and an axe."

"There is no motive of robbery. From our investigations, the two suspects intended to kill the woman's husband," he said in a press conference.

Mohammad Azlin said police suspected the 40-year-old woman was having an affair with the Indian national.

He said the woman told police she had constantly been abused by her husband.

"We have however not received any police report from the woman on the alleged abuse," he added.
