MORE hands make lighter and more effective work. Believing this to be so, the various Rukun Tetangga groups in Subang Jaya got together for a pow wow session with Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari last month.

It was the first meeting between Mohammad Azlin and the Rukun Tetangga Community Policing groups from SS14, SS15/2-SS15/3, SS15 Hexagon, SS17, SS18 and SS19 since the former took the helm of the police district.

During the meeting Mohammad Azlin said house break-ins and car thefts made up the bulk of crime in Subang Jaya.

“Our priority is to nip these cases with smart strategies. Most of the time the suspects we caught were found to be under the influence of drugs.”

“They commit crime to fund their addictions,” he said, adding that Subang Jaya had one of the lowest increases in the crime index compared with other districts.

He added that burglars normally targeted homes with older CCTV and alarm systems compared to those which had more modern and up to date systems.

Mohammad Azlin promised to support crime prevention efforts initiated by the different Rukun Tetangga groups in Subang Jaya.
