Car Skids and Rams into Sound Barrier

A loud bang from Persiaran Jengka in Subang Jaya broke the still of the night for residents of SS14 and SS18.

Many residents rushed out to find out the cause of the loud sound only to discover an MPV had skidded and hit the Kesas Highway sound barrier at the end of Persiaran Jengka.

The vehicle with only the driver in it had gone over the divider as it came down the road from the direction of SS15, lost control and hit the wall on its side.

The 39-year-old Sarawakian driver who lives in USJ was unhurt but a bit shaken from the incident.

The driver claimed he had just dropped a friend home and did not realise there was a wall at the end of the road.

The area is still under road works by the contractors of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line.

Both the SS17 Police and Bomba arrived shortly to attend to the accident. The driver's statement was recorded by the police while Bomba personnel checked the vehicle for any leakage from the fuel tank.
