Roots Holistic Yoga Therapy is the inspiration of Anish Jacob. His passion for health and integrating the

Therapeutic benefits of Yoga therapies with other healing modalities as an adjunct to western medicine are the cornerstones of RHYT.

For that reason, in 2015 he established Roots at the Mediplex, the new wellness and lifestyle annex building of the Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC).

As a certified teacher from Bangalore, India, he has taught privately, in groups and corporate settings since 2010. Distinguished by additional training and workshops in prenatal, post-natal yoga and yoga therapy for various conditions, Anish’s knowledge base of yoga therapeutics is extensive.

RHYT aims to extend the authentic teachings of Yoga and meditation to all students, regardless of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion or economic status. That is why RHYT Yoga classes are kept affordable, to support the health and well-being of the local community.

Roots Holistic Yoga Therapy is dedicated to educate, empower and assist individuals so that they can take an active role in their healing and wellness.

The center offers Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, plus workshops in related yoga topics. Hatha Vinyasa Yoga uses postures (asanas) and stretches in combination with breath work to develop flexibility, relaxation and wellness.

There are many styles of Hatha Vinyasa Yoga. Some use a specific series of postures; others use a flow of movements, while some may use props such as blocks or belts to assist a posture or maximize a stretch. All styles of Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, however, encourage proper alignment of the body and bring balance, strength, and calmness to the mind. RHYT Hatha Vinyasa Yoga classes are based on the classic and ancient practices with attention to alignment and the deeper layers of Yoga.

Therapeutic Yoga classes are usually conducted on a one-to-one basis and adapt broad-spectrum yoga methods to suit the needs of students with movement limitations, those who are recovering from injury or suffer from chronic pain. Therapeutic Yoga may help relieve discomfort, increase range of motion, improve muscle balance, and intends to help bring students to a more harmonious state of being.

Enquiry is welcome on other types of yoga too. Please call Anish at 018-202 2217. You can also visit our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/RootsHolisticYogaTherapy. Classes are held from Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 9.30pm at Lot S20, 2nd floor, Mediplex, SJMC.
